Good News: Heritage ProgramSM Expands to Sister Company
The Heritage ProgramSM is growing! Employees at Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz) — a sister company of Fireman's Fund employing 1,800 people nationwide — are now able to participate in the Heritage ProgramSM, nominating fire departments and fire and burn prevention non-profit organizations for grants. Both Fireman's Fund and Allianz are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Allianz SE, one of the world's largest financial services companies, and among the top 20 of the world's largest corporations based on revenues.

"The expansion to our sister company means there will be more opportunities for grants and more volunteer support for firefighters in local communities," says Danielle Cagan, director of the Heritage ProgramSM. "This is great news for the fire service and communities they serve."
In addition to employee involvement, beginning in 2009, many regional sales and distribution organizations for Allianz will be able to direct grants to firefighters in the same way that Fireman's Fund agency partners currently direct grants today.
Headquartered in Minneapolis, Allianz offers financial services such as life insurance and annuities through a network of marketing organizations and broker/dealers throughout the country.
Making Even More of a Community Difference
Gary Bhojwani, president and CEO of Allianz Life.
The expansion of the Fireman's Fund Heritage® program to Allianz "is a fantastic opportunity to engage our employees, to engage our producers and, frankly, to make a difference in the communities we work in," said Allianz Life president and CEO, Gary Bhojwani.
"The program eligibility rules and processes won't change, but we expect to see more grants awarded as the Heritage ProgramSM takes off at Allianz," adds Cagan.
Since 2004, more than $19 million in grants has been awarded through the Heritage ProgramSM.
Watch for New Heritage Web Site
As part of the Heritage ProgramSM's expansion to Allianz, a new Web site will be unveiled later this year.
"The new site will provide expanded news and information about our programs to support the fire service," says Cagan. Watch the e-newsletter for future news about the launch of the new Heritage Web site.
