Fireman's Fund Insurance Company is in the process of
calling more than 1,000 fire departments around the country. Why? To let
them know that a check is coming.
Last year we reported on the newly created National Fire
Fighter Near-Miss Reporting System. Response has been strong, and
firefighters are showing that they don't take danger for granted when
they're on the job, according to the system's first annual report.
This spring, Fireman's Fund employees awarded 26 grants,
totaling $428,000, to fire departments and organizations across the
country. Funding for employee-directed grants is tied directly to our
company’s performance.
