Recent Grants in Brief
|

Squad member Kermit Wiggins and Captain Frank Rochat from the Knoxville Volunteer Emergency Rescue Squad, Inc. of Knox County, Tenn., pose with their new extrication equipment, which was purchased with a Fireman's Fund grant. Only a few hours after receiving the new equipment, the squad used it to help save a traffic accident victim trapped in a crushed car. The grant also purchased new rescue scene lighting equipment for the squad, and accounted for part of the price of a new engine.
